Description

Move everyone they're talking about. Then maybe use some of the picks to acquire other players (not reflected below - maybe Tierney to shelter the young C's). Interested to hear who you'd target with the 2021 or 2022 1sts and 2nds and at what cost. Or just play the kids like the Ottawa model (can't believe I'm saying it but looks like Melnyk was right for once...).

I would try to sign some of the younger guys longer term but I doubt any player's agent is doing that in the flat cap and/or with the Sabres.

Overpay a few UFAs who can be moved at the deadline. Replace the guys I pucked with whoever you want that is attainable (i.e. likely not top tier guys).

Lots of cap space left to taken on bad contracts for even more picks.

Sabres pass. That's trade deadline value or less. Might as well sign him for one year, trade him at the deadline with 50% retention for that return.
