    Don't think Seattle would take on Neal's deal for a 3rd, when they could just take Jones in the expansion anyways.. Also, that's a bit of a premium to pay and get Cernak from Tampa, and kind of a waste for Edm to do, should they bring back on of(maybe even both) Barrie and/or Larsson(likely candidate) they'll have their right side d stacked with Bouchard looking primed to step in f/t next season.. Meaning it would be useless for them to waste $8m in space for Hamilton, let alone take on Cernak's deal when their real needs are Top 6 Wingers AND a good younger goalie that can be their No 1 going forward, not a band aid and 40 year old platoon situation(nothing against Smith, he did well this past year and earned another 1 year $2m w/ incentives type deal to help push the young goalie they will likely target to sign this off season)...

    So, Edmonton pays a 3 for Seattle to take 11 mil but the lightning pay Cernak to dump 15? Why not just buy him out at 1.5 mil
