Description
with the Suter buyout this gives Boston many options I think something like this makes complete sense bring in Suter to mentor Lauzon on the bottom pairing and gives the bruins a very good right side and reunites Carlo with Gryz. The bruins with all their cap space can also completely fix their bottom 6 and get this team depth we have been lacking for basically the entirety of the Bergeron era. Overall I would love to have Suter in a small mentorship role like Chara but better. He is still a good D man and can step up and play in the top 4 if someone gets injured. A player like him would have been great in that NY series.

Isles have no incentive to break up the fourth line and make that trade. Lamoriello brought Martin back via trade when he became GM, why would he move him now?

because you get Wagner who is roughly the same skill level and a 6th. I mean boston could add a 5th or sm but that should get the job done. Martin is replacable on the isles.

Even if that were true (it isn't, Martin is way better than Wagner, and you must know that on some level because otherwise why are you trading for him), this makes no sense, they're not going to risk breaking up one of the best chemistry lines in the league for a 5th rounder

Martin and Wagner are far apart when it comes to 4th liners which is why you get a 5th/6th and if NY does not do that get someone else with the same assets like a maroon etc. Martin is not worth what you think he is.
