I would much rather keep Neal and Bear than sign Hyman, NO THANK YOU!! Yes, Hyman would be good in the short term, 2 years, but years 3->6 too many people will be complaining and cursing about the god awful FA signing, he's not worth it for that $$ and that term, better off keeping the final 2 years of Neal(or to buy him out) and keep Bear than make that FA signing....

I don't like that trade for you guys. Bouchard is your future #1 RD, and adding Reinhart (and Hyman) just makes the team more top-heavy. Plus I'll bet he won't sign anywhere for less than $6 million unless it's a one-year deal so that he can become a free agent. And Yamamoto looks like he could be an excellent complementary top-6 RW for McDavid or Draisaitl.

Buying out Neal solves the problem of surrendering value to Seattle to move him.
