Description

For FUN so ignore the term, cost of contracts, players, basically everything.

I didn't dive deep into analytics to determine what each player signed should make.

At first I made this team with just Red Wing prospects who I think could make it to the NHL someday but I wasn't even close to the cap floor so I signed some big UFA's (for FUN) and I really like this team on paper.

The enormous amount of cap space without the UFA signings ($18M) means Yzerman will have a LOT of room to make trades and sign guys in 2022.

The "extra" guys in the lineups like Soderblom, Wallinder, McIssac are guys who I hope make it to the show one day but I don't know if they will be regular NHLers by the 2022 season.

I would love to see barkov on the team but probably costs more to pry him from Florida.
