Yes, the defence is suspect, but Montreal will not make the playoffs in a stacked Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference. Chiarot’s deal is up this year and if the team won’t make the playoffs, may as well trade him will his value is high and the market is high on D. Extend Suzuki for 8 years this summer, sign a big name D next Off-Season (Klingberg, maybe) alongside prospect Jordan Harris and mostly keep the same forward core, hoping the young forwards take a leap offensively.
