I get that everyone thinks Trouba is overpaid but 4-5M but the Rangers are high on him and he might actually wear the C.

With the cap crunch next year with fox and mika you move out a ton of money and dont lose crucial pieces. You do need a RD2 to replace trouba but any opportunity to get positive value from that contract has to be taken.

Kreider will be moved in a few years for space. The next 2 seasons are no issue at all and I’ve heard and seen projections for cap increases.

Ok lmao. Next year you have to pay fox, mika, and kakko and you cant move kreider or trouba bc they still have nmcs. The cap ismt moving up anytime soon most certainly not next year. Go make an acgm and see the cap crunch thats coming.
