The Sharks signed him to a one way deal and protected him from Seattle so my guess is it wouldn't have happened if he was staying in Sweden, I'm pretty sure he's playing in the NHL this year, this has to be the year the sharks finally convince him to play in North America and I am betting that he was promised a slot in the top 6, at least to start the year.
