The Wild are trying to compete. We'd want to get a center coming back in a possible Dumba trade.

Kings don't need another RHD. Minnesota won't give up Dumba for that return.

Maatta wouldn't get taken for free off waivers. No team will give up anything of value for him unless the Kings retain half his salary or throw in a sweetener, neither of which they should do. Just bury him in the AHL for a year and let him walk in UFA next summer.

Hard pass on Galchenyuk. The Kings already signed Tkachev from the KHL, who will be making his debut this Fall.

I agree…. I wonder if both teams could work a deal around Dumba, and Vilardi if the kings want Dumba. I know nobody is going to like it, and the wild may have to add a bit, but it’s interesting. They have Byfield, Turrcotte, and Vilardi. They can afford to lose one.
