i don't know if poehling is ever going to make it. he's almost 23 and can't stick around, even with one of the worst center cores in the league.

6 points in 7 games with Laval. I think that could be a really good thing to give him a shot on the top 6. What do we have to lost? Not much.

if he doesn't do something soon i think he'll bust or be lost to waivers. now is as good a chance as he's going to get.

Evans was a late arrival as well and has made a place for himself. Players coming into the league later than anticipated happens all the time.
I don't know about top 6, but an NHL role is still a reasonable possibility. Maybe he'll end up as a bottom 6 winger. Not what you want from a 1st round pick, granted, but he's not a wash ... yet.

he'll be waiver eligible next season. it would be waste to lose him for nothing like mete.
