For Gm, my pick would be Chris MacFarland. Current Assistant Gm of the Colorado Avalanche

For Coach, my pick is Nate Leaman. Coach of Providence college in the NCAA and was coach for USA WJC team.

I don't want to dip in the recyling can of NHL coaches with the Julians, the Boudrous etc. Leaman hasnt coached at the NHL level but I liked how he took the USA WJC team from a rough start to beating one of the best on paper Canada WJC teams in recent history.

As for MacFarland, he has been an assistant to one of the best GMs in the league for 5+ years and id think its worth a shot

Im fine with eating up the last 2 years of the Myers contract. I don't think any teams really want a 6'8 Dman that i've seen play AHL level defense

MacFarland is my pick too. I'd go with Lane Lambert or Jim Montgomery as the head coach tho. That Rangers trade is also awful for the Canucks and I don't like the idea of trading Miller for roster players
