Trying to keep Strome

I hope Drury can work out a new deal for Strome. I've seen articles saying Strome may be open to taking less than $6/year because he loves playing for the Rangers, but who knows how true that is. It is obvious he likes being a Ranger and playing with Panarin so fingers crossed. If they do sign him at around $6/year, I think they will need to trade Chytil and move Goodrow into 3C spot. Probably have to move Nemeth too.

Is Chytil miscast as a 3C? Should he be playing somewhere else in the lineup or is he effective at that spot?

Its more about his cap hit than anything else. If the Rangers sign Strome, they will have to move some players out, and Chytil become expendable IMO because they have Goodrow. He isn't bad at 3C but he is terrible in the faceoff circle and he plays a very soft game, which the Rangers could use less of.

Pretty much what I expected, which is unfortunate because the Canucks would be interested in adding a young 3C but Chytil probably doesn't fit the bill then.

Rangers arent getting two 2nds for Nemeth and Georgiev (Nemeth is a cap dump) and Rangers won't be signing Strome at $6M AAV.
