doesnt mean that is his minimum. he can accept a 7.5M for 1 year, or the canucks can let him walk to UFA. Alternatively, the canucks can offer a longer term (8 years) x say 6.5M per. Its then up to Boeser to choose what he values most

In my opinion, he would bet on himself in that situation considering he is a 25 goal, 60 point scorer who has come into his own defensively this season. If we want the full eight seasons I could see him ending up with a similar AAV to Quinn Hughes or higher, $8.5x8 max considering we'd be purchasing his entire prime/UFA seasons.

i think he probably ends up right around 7.5, but i need to see more consistency from him to believe that he is worth that long term
