That Klingberg deal will suck early after signing it. I hope we don’t commit to Klingberg.

Canes pass. ADA has been better than Klingberg this year, and the Canes want no part of that extension. The canes weren’t willing to give that kind of contract to Hamilton, who is younger and better, so why would they give it to older and worse Klingberg? Plus, with the locker room that the Canes have, if ADA tries something he would be ditched so fast his head would spin. ADA will likely get a 2 year deal at about 4mil to see if he can handle it, and if he doesn’t then he knows that this would likely be his last team in the NHL if he screwed up here. Plus, there is also the problem with cap space for the Canes so pass on Klingberg.
