Its not a bad deal, just that ANA fans thinks they're going to get Willy Nylander and 3 1st for Josh Manson.

What gives the advantage to the Leafs is that in this scenario is Zaitsev is exempt so ANA doesn't have to protect but TOR can afford to protect 4 defenseman

Zaitsev and JVR have far more value to the Leafs than in this package! Anaheim will likely lose one of Manson or Vatanen in the expansion draft anyway, (or Lindholm, Fowler) and likely will look to deal one of the higher end cap hits! You make the above offer, have us take on a portion of JVR's contract, Stoners dead money, offer them an exempt defencemen and give up a first! Alleviating Anaheim's expansion and cap Hell all in one deal! I suggest we pass!
