Why have retention on near league min contracts? I’d like to see chara in an oilers jersey. I’d rather have the energy boost archie brings than brassard even if it’s part time.

Brassard has excellent numbers in a bottom 6 role, is versatile and has 117 playoff battles worth of experience. Archie is amazing, but a 50% player is only 50% useful.

Retention is because Holland was clearing room to land a bigger contract (Kubalik), but failed.

These aren’t my ideal moves, this is me jumping into Holland’s head to guess what he does 😀
