This is in the scenario that the pick is in the higher end of the 1st round. It’s a draft day deal. If the pick is in the lower end of the draft obviously they won’t deal it.

With what they got for Manson, sometimes you’ve got to pay more than you should for things you need.

Maybe Anaheim adds a mid pick to even it out.

That was at the trade deadline though...prices tend to be higher as GM's get desperate and bid against each other. Plus Manson is better (imo) and he had half salary retained.
