Description

Just kind of ridiculous how many guys who played at Michigan are in the NHL, and doing well at the moment. Rules were guys had to have played an NHL game within the past year, or played a full season in the AHL this season while playing in an NHL game in 2020-21. Also added any 1st round pick currently at U of M that could reasonably see time in the NHL at the end of this coming season. The one exception made is Erik Portillo, who is a 3rd round pick of the Sabres that was Michigan's starter the past year, and will be again in '22-23, because I needed to have two goalies. Not included are incoming freshman who will, in all likelihood, be 1st round picks next month, or a top five pick in 2023: Frank Nazar, Rutger McGroarty, Seamus Casey, and Adam Fantilli ('23 Draft).

If this team added Jack Campbell and John Giibson (who both were committed to Michigan before deciding to go the OHL route late in the process), would they have a chance to make a deep run in the playoffs?
