I am new to this whole building a fantasy GM team stuff. I watch a lot of hockey and I’ve played and coached the game but I’ve never been a GM, so tell me how I am doing.

As a Sabres fan, I’d be ok taking Kassian back
We could use the tough play
But i think we’d look elsewhere first

And i doubt we’d want either of those prospects you’re offering
I think we’d rather just have a pick

Puljujarvi's contract would buy three years of RFA, one of UFA, leaving him UFA, so I'd say it's likely a little light. Best deal for him would be two years, leaving one year of RFA to negotiate the best long term deal.

Yamamoto's contract would buy four years of RFA, no UFA, leaving him UFA, which would likely be the worst timeline. I would also try to bridge him for two years, if possible. If not, I'd go long on the deal (which would have risk for both sides, and likely be more expensive.)

A Kassian buyout has a $666k cap hit next season. While you could package assets to move him, might just be better to buy him out and keep the cheap young contracts.

I think Archibald's time in Edmonton is done. He got 6:57 in the last game, and has been as low as 4:39 in a playoff game. Better to have a young player in that place so that you can move him up or down the lineup.
