I'm very interested to see what Laine's contract will look like. Have to think he accepts a 9.5 AAV, but if I'm CBJ I'd be hoping to for a long term deal at around 8.5.

Based on the current market 9 mil seems to be the magic number here. I think if the Jackets and him can agree to a max term contract then an 8.5 or 8.75 mil per is not out of the question. But I think Laine would want a 5-6 year deal. This would allow him to reach another lucrative deal at 29 or 30.
