Description

Continuing on with the Hawks. Again not a fan so I apologize. Leave thoughts and comments below.

Trades:
Debrincat. Ottawa gets a young Uber talented 40+ goal scorer. Chicago gets to try recapture the promise Branstrom once showed, Forementon could be a really nice piece as will that 7th overall pick. The second and Zaitsev could be something once they flip him

Toronto: Leaf’s get strome and can reunite him with his good buddy Marner. Amir oh if he can continue playing hockey cancels the Mrazek deal. Chicago is also one of the few teams where Mrazek isn’t deadweight for salary. The 1st for the third also helps for stromes rights and ensures the pick goes through

I think Kubalik is done in Chicago and maybe he recaptures some scoring flanking one of their young centres. McLeod and Borgstrom fight for that 3c spot

AHL: rebuild is on. If Reichel doesn’t get enough time in the chel send him down. Vlasic and Mitchell can log too pairing minutes here.

Goalie:
Mrazek is an upgrade over Lankinen but Lankinen deserves another contract the way he battled last year, goaltending is mediocre at best

Defence:
Actually not a bad defence on paper, hopefully Brannstrom can recapture some of the talent he showed when he was drafted. Gustafson could be someone for him to try emulate. Jones, Murphy and McCabe all stay healthy and it’s not a bad defence then.

Forwards:
I was gonna try a Kane trade to NYR but I think that waits till the deadline or he might decide to stay same with Toews. Not sure hawks want to buyout Johnson and don’t think they get enough to retain in a trade. Forementon and Amirov nice pieces.

Overall:
Expect this team to be a bottom 5-10 team next year but they have 2 picks these next three drafts if these trades go through.
