    RFA rights to de Haan
I saw this idea on other posts. I think trading de Haan is a good idea, as he will most likely be taken by vegas in the expansion. Might as well get something for him if we are going to lose him. I don't know the exact value of this , so i kinda just guessed.

    1. Clutterbuck, Cal
    Additional Details:
I don't know if this happens, but it could be an easy way out of a potentially disastrous contract for the Islanders. They have to protect other players and can't afford to waste protection on Clutter, clearing major cap space allowing for other free agent signings. If things were to happen this way, it could turn out well for the Islanders. But with Garth Snow handling everything, nothing at all will turn out well for the Islanders.

No idea if this is works well for either side of the trade, but salary dump needed to free cap space. Saw this trade on another post, so I went with it.

        1. Prince, Shane
        Additional Details:
Prince is young, but highly injury prone. He has spent the majority of the past 2 seasons on the IR. The Sharks are the oldest team in the NHL, so they get a young guy in a spur of the moment draft day trade. The Isles got Prince for a 3rd from Ottawa, and because of the injuries i don't know his value, so this was another guesstimate.
