Description
This team gives Montreal a much improved Top 9, as players slide down to more suited roles, and, assuming Galchenyuk can bounce back to his pre-injury form, some solid centre depth. If one of Jerabek or Beaulieu can play at a Top 4 level, Montreal's defense and offensive should be pretty set, and with a lot of salary coming off the books next season (Markov's 4.5 million and Davidson's 1.425 million) there should be more than enough cap space for a Price extension.

Should Kovalchuk not sign with Montreal, that cap space could be used to sign a different scoring winger like TJ Oshie, Justin Williams, or Patrick Marleau instead.
