Trade 1:

According to some models a 5m cap burden is worth around a 2nd and a 3rd. Since Lupul is LTIR eligible I thought that just a second would be fair, plus Leafs get a serviceable goalie so its a win win.

Trade 2:

Pittsburgh will be a rare team that has absolutely not value in the future and are all in next year. They trade away a fair package for a 50pt centerman that wins faceoffs and only costs 2m in cap space.

Trade 3:

Had to make room for Kapanen he is simply too good, could see him playing with Matthews and Nylander potentially. Komarov has great defensive analytics which will be helpful with all the youth in Arizona.

Trade 4:

Florida trades away Pysyk for a goalscoring prospect who has an edge (he's ranked as the second best Leafs prospect in most rankings behind Kapanen) and a second.

Trade 5:

Leafs protect JVR, Kadri, Brown, Martin, Rielly, Pysyk, Gardiner, and Carrick (Andersen obviously). They choose Leivo in my scenario.

Signings:
Joe decides to leave SJ and go back to hometown, its possible but maybe not likely, although Leafs can offer him more than a year which he is looking for.

Boyle, we really need him back and we pay to keep him.
