    It is a lot over savings overall. I think they let him go elsewhere to reboot his first round pick status

    White is now a FA just lost about $10m due to the Sens buying him out. Why would he re-sign with them?

    The buyout was the right move by OTT.

    I think White will sign for a Playoff team (BOS) that needs cheap bottom-6 FWDs and reboot his career that way.
