Letang is an amazing player, when he's healthy, but it doesn't make sense for the Stars to give up the 3rd overall, likely their best forward prospect, and additional assets for a guy who has missed significant time in 3 of the past 5 seasons. Not to mention that albatross of a contract, ew. I do like the Oshie pick up, but I don't think he signs with Dallas and not for that cheap when there are teams likely willing to go longer term with more money.

Also, who are the Stars losing to expansion draft in this scenario?

Yeah good luck if you honestly believe that a Letang to Dallas trade is happening, Probably Pittsburgh is going to win their 2nd cup in a row. And losing Letang hurts their D depth.

You think so? Penguins get offered a top forward prospect, 3rd overall, and a couple extra picks for 7.5 mil in cap space and a guy that they're going to win a stanely cup without playing a single playoff game and they won't consider? Losing Letang (when he is on the ice) doesn't hurt them
