should the Kings deal Petersen and look for a solid backup for Quick to mentor or is petersen legit and last year was a fluke?
and sharks would take that offer i would think.

i think he suffered from the defence in front of him... his even strength sv% wasn't so bad, it was PP where we got really overexposed, so if the team can take fewer penalties and kill them off better, i would expect him to bounce back...

plus, with toronto having a goalie making almost $5M now, kuemper probably goes to DC, campbell to EDM, and then nobody else truly needs a $5M goalie, so i dont think we would get very much back, especially considering he has a NTC and could block a deal to buffalo... i think quick is more likely to move, but even that is unlikely bc i think he would want to finish in LA like brown did

Sharks aren't doing LA any favors.

a 3rd for Nieto even 50% retained isn’t a favor it’s a gift.
at best he’s a late 5th even with the 50% retention he’s maybe a 4th.

Horrible trades, all.

Iafallo for Dillon would be a terrible deal because Dillon is exactly the opposite of the type of defenseman we're looking for; Bjornfot filled that slot perfectly acceptable for a rookie last season and is only going to get better, so trading him for a fifth is insane. And trading Matt Roy for no reason is awful.

The idea that with all of the young forwards brimming with promise we have on the roster and under contract now, plus the 4 or 5 excellent prospects we have in the system developing, we'd have to go outside the organization for Matt Nieto is just absurd.

The less said about trading Quinton Byfield, the better.

I understand the attraction of making ACGMs for teams about which you know very little, but this is absolutely dreadful, revealing a complete lack of understanding of our team, its management and direction.
