Assuming Sabres add on one of each:
1.) Goalie
2.) RD
3.) Forward
If you were GMKA what would you do to address each of the 3?

For me, these are the options that I would go with:

1.) The options are not great but we will have to make due. If we have to take a shot on a FA that isn’t a proven starter I would prefer Comrie. However other FAs I would be content with are Samsonov, Lindgren, and Holtby if he does play (ik its not likely). If we are looking to trade I think that SJS and SEA are potential partners but im not sold on either option. I hate the Idea of Gibson bc It clogs up the pipeline for UPL and Levi. I might be able to talk myself into Bobrovsky if Florida retains salary and it means we can get someone else. I would only be happy with this if we move on from Bob in the next two years. I think that you can get FLA to retain like 3.5 mill and if we retain another 3 mill we could move him to a contender with goalie problems at the deadline.

2.) FA doesn’t look like its going to be the best place to get a D man but if we had to I like Kulak (ik he is LH but he can play on the right side). I’m not high on PK but he’s better the nothing. If we trade I like the idea of weegar but I don’t know what it would take to get him. He would be the someone else that I might help me talk myself into Bobrovski. Another trade partner would be LAK with all the RHD they have. I don’t know enough about all of their players but trade for a RHD and don’t give up too much and im happy. Other than that I really dont know who to target but it is obviously a need.

3.) This is where the sabres have a ton of flexibility due to Asplunds ability to play up and down the line up and everyone’s position flexibility. I would like the sabres to take a chance on a younger player. Kubalik, Milano, Pool Party, or maybe strome. We’ve seen how helpful Donny is with development so it makes sense to take a shot and see if we can maximize potential. (Ik these aren’t huge risks but I see a lot of upside for all of these players). However, I dont think they can do anything that would make me mad so whatever they due I will probably get behind.

I want to keep Victor and make sure we get an honest look at UPL and Mitts this year so we know what we have for the future.

If they do make a trade I would be okay with trading Portillos rights and a second as the main pieces. If the trade is right maybe mitts but I would like to give him another year.

The lineup I would like to have minus these three moves is below. With injuries all players will most likely get ice time.
