Description
Forget all the big deals with big names! These are fairly easy trades and not asking for much In return, I also explain why it would make sense for the other team. The only big name signings are Justin Williams for 2 years and Brendan Smith for 2 years.

Bruins also beef up a little their draft picks for next year or for trade deadline deals.

The Providence Bruins lineup below are listed from left to right the order of which they would be brought up if/when injuries hit.

For Bruin fans only I have entered the special teams as how I would position them - welcome to comment on that!!

Vegas picks K. Miller over McQuaid, C. Miller, Beleskey and Hayes and 2 backup goalies. K. Miller is a California boy and they know he will be happy to be closer to home and they will increase his next contract to be a Defensive leader in the dressing room. ( also named Assistant Captain!

If mostly healthy through the year and healthy come playoff time, this team could contend. The only weak spot could be LW but Stafford could be moved over there on interim basis If one of the 2 kids over there aren't ready. Then you can maybe add pieces at the trade deadline to take a serious run, however still a little tight to the cap.

Draft picks for next year are beefed up to keep the pipeline going. And only 4 players would need to be dealt with for Free Agency come this time next year!

i almost find it impossible that Bjork doesnt make the team next season if he stays healthy. As of right now, he has a better chance than DeBrusk. As for the rest, its ok. I wouldnt be against McAvoy playing 1st pair but realistically he should be top 4

Who did you protect as a 3rd DMan if both Millers and McQuaid were available to be taken? You'd be lucky to get a 4th and a 7th for that package you are sending the Rangers no way you get a 2 not to mention they'd be hard pressed to find room for Hayes and his contract even tho it isn't big. The Van package would be more like a 3 and a 5 and eat half of Beleskeys contract. Think you are a bit optimistic on this one.

Bjork struggled a little at the WC this spring so I think it might be a bit of "deer in the headlights" for him. Let him play a year in Providence like DeBrusk did. That's my thinking on that one.

Ya I think the top 4 are interchangeable really so agree with you there....

I meant if given the choice that's how Vegas would be thinking, because trust me they are already looking at scenarios for every team in preparation. And it's obvious I only kept Colin so that is my 3rd D. It's right for a cap decision and both Kevan and McQuaid are becoming a little injury prone!

Might be dreaming a bit on the Hayes/Rangers deal

Beleskey is better and more useful and has more upside than people are giving him credit for. Sure he might not be a 25 goal scorer, but he brings a lot more than that, competes all the time. Not much time left on his contract anyway....
