malkin scoring at a 50 goal rate is ridiculous since 2011-12
malkin has only hit 50 once and been on pace for 40+ 4 of the last 11 seasons
Id say he would hit high 30's if he played a full 82 game season but pitsburgh will be lucky to get 50 games out of him considering how injury prone he has been throughout most his career especially the last 4 years i also expect nhl scoring to go down this season the league was scoring at a rate we haven't seen in over a decade, the super star players like makar/mcdavid/matthews etc will probably continue at the same pace but everyone else will come back to earth.
also thinking heinen and kapanen will score at a .5ppg rate is pretty wishful thinking and jason zucker come on lol he'll be lucky to not be boughtout let alone score 40 points he is toasted you might get lucky to get into the low 30's if he is on a strong line
way to many guys like
kapanen/heinen/zucker/pettersson/dumolin/ rutta scoring 10 or more points then their usual averages over the last 4 seasons.
you have this team scoring 342 goals!!!
Florida only scored 340 last year with a much much strong team scoring at an unsustainable rate for more then one wildly over scoring season.
the next 5 best teams
Leafs- 315
Colorado- 312
Blues- 311
Wild- 310
Flames- 293
all have much stronger offences with more stars and depth
since 2000-01 season only 9 teams have scored more 300 goals and pitsburgh is far from being one of those teams to do it my friend
You’re projections are too high for some depth guys. Heinen, Zucker, and McGinn are not scoring that much. Especially for limited to no time in the top six with Crosby or Malkin maybe besides Zucker. But as a rookie dman, that is awfully high to think Joseph will score 7 goals. Petry could score 40 but Pettersson is not getting 30 points. And then for thinking Ruhwedel is going to get into 16 games, 2 goals and 5 points in way too much.
