I think this will be another disappointing season for the Flyers. After hiring Torts and trading for DeAngelo, they didn’t do a lot of impactful moves or signings. The Deslauriers signing was a questionable one, bit of an overpayment. Also they will be continuing to miss out on the play of Ellis and Farabee. Ellis is close, but Farabee isn’t out until mid or late November. Also keep in mind, Bobby Brink won’t be playing until mid-January. However, the Flyers will be playing a full season with Tippett. With all the injury troubles that the Flyers are having, its not enough to be a contender this year. A big-name prospect like Foerster could make his NHL debut this year. They will play better, now that they have DeAngelo, but it still isn’t enough. Can Carter Hart bounce back from two rough seasons? We will see. Can Sandstrom play at a consistent level this year? The Flyers goalie situation is questionable. Overall, there’s a lot of question marks with this team, so I see them as a lottery team once again.

For young prospects, with Farabee and Brink out, I see Foerster getting some NHL ice time. The Flyers will also get a full season of Cam York.
