Description
Based on article of what the return for Eberle would be................
http://edmontonjournal.com/sports/hockey/nhl/cult-of-hockey/what-will-edmonton-oilers-get-for-jordan-eberle-repeated-message-is-a-lesser-cheaper-forward...............

My thought would be, taking a chance on a younger & cheaper option in Girgensons or Larsson would be more appealing than Eakin (who costs over 3xs as much) coming off a really bad season

Edmonton is on a Eberle hating kick. The journal is writing garbage like that for click bait, and paper sales.

Eberle has averaged 58 points a season for 8 years. My belief is Buffalo would definitely have to add, atleast some decent picks.

    That's fair
I was frankly surprised to see they might take a guy like Eakin in return
Not the best contract for Eberle, & that playoffs sucked, but I agree that it likely costs more

Hypothetically, if we offered Girgs + 2nd round pick for Eberle, I'd be very happy and surprised.

Imho, I think they get a better offer, and GMJB hates that cap number

    I'd do that deal

Cap number is just fine for a 60 point scorer
If he was UFA I'd sign him to that in a heartbeat
Probably be #2 on our team in points

I'd hope Oilers could get Girgensons, Nelson and a pick higher then the fifth round for him.
Oilers gave Justin Schultz away for a 3rd when the local media and fans turned on him though, so who knows.
