It'll cost more to dump Poolmans contract and we don't want Stone when Rathbone is a better option and don't want Stepan when Joshua is a better option

Even if Stone and Stepan get released from their PTO's, I still don't see the Canucks going after either of those players. They'll probably see if De Haan is released by Carolina, and maybe go after him. If Carolina signs him, then maybe the Canucks ink DeKeyser. The team also needs to look at adding 13th and 14th forward candidates, especially if Hoglander is sent down to Abbotsford. Maybe they look at bringing back Alex Chiasson if Arizona releases him, maybe Tyler Pitlick or Cody Eakin. I could also see management taking an interest in Tyler Ennis or Brendan Perlini. I bet Zach Ashton-Reese already has a handshake agreement with the Leafs, and I would be surprised if Calgary released Milano, they're probably both off the table already.
