If Dickinson is on our opening night roster over Karlsson, then that is a problem

Dickinson has shown no effort to be a good player in the pre-season. Fringe NHLers are supposed to work extra hard in the pre season to show they belong in the NHL. Dickinson hasn't stood out at all

Most ludicrous take I've ever seen. Dickinson isn't some young up and comer, he's easing him self into game shape, that's why he doesn't look as flashy. Everyone knows he has the inside track to earn a bottom six spot on the roster. If you can't figure out the logistics of what pre-season means, then you shouldn't open your mouth to say anything

I disagree, because in order to get the most out of dickinson you have to have him in a role to succeed, I think that pairing him up with some big boys like lazar and Joshua that he will be able to do much better. Don't get me wrong, I have liked what I have seen so far from Karlsson, but he needs to work on his foot speed and his processing speed at the AHL level before he makes it to the show. I think he would have to marinate in abby for a year before he gets an NHL look. He also would not be a guy who you would throw into a 4th line role, that will work for some guys but Karlsson isnt that, he needs to have opportunity and have line mates to be able to succeed. I understand that you arent a fan of Dicky, but deployment matters at the NHL level
