Oilers need a franchise goalie, and Murray is in the works to becoming one. However, they would need much more than just him to acquire Hall. They need a replacement skater and considering their lack of depth at center and interest in Sutter over the years, he would be included as well. A forward prospect would be needed as well so Bennett is added. Lastly, the Oilers really need defense, so while we may need to trade them Maatta or Pouliot in a deal that includes less, we can throw in Dumoulin and balance it out with three other players, maybe throw in 2016 1st Round Draft Pick as well to top it off.

The Hurricanes are close to buying Semin out and will probably accept anything to move him. Send them a decent depth player like Spaling for the trade and they have reportedly claimed to be willing to retain up to half of Semin's salary (didn't go quite that far in this trade but close) as trading him and retaining salary will save them close to $4 million instead of buying him out.

Trying to reacquire a first round pick. Kunitz is a great fit in Calgary and may get the pick himself but if need be we could offer our second round pick with him to move up to the first round again.
