I don't think that deal improves NYI either today or long term. For that package, could probably target a better player.

averaging .75 point per game since 12-13,
turnover ratio 1.89 which is ******* insanely good,
career 50% on faceoffs,
career above 50 % corsi with a positive corsi rating.

to say this isn't better over what this team has now at 2C is moronic. **** this is better than what most teams have at 2C

Bryaden Schenn went for 2 1st rounders, Sakic is holding steady at his insane asking price, CGY didn't want to give up Backlund, Bozak didnt wouldnt accept a trade to islanders. so explain to me how you think the Islanders are going to trade for a better Center with this package? I'm listening
