I don't think toronto needs to spend big this free agency. Luke Schenn helps out the toronto blue line for both a cheap player on the cap and for a trade. Prospects can change (to a reasonable degree). Would like to hear people thoughts on this.

In actual trade value it is close for a Crouse trade, maybe trade out Abruzzese for Fraser Minton for optimal value. Kerfoot is more of a dump then any value add for the Coyotes plan. That said, Arizona is not going to trade Crouse for fair value. They would require an overpay to part ways with him. I expect that Crouse will wear the C in AZ starting next year and stay with the club for at least one more contract extension. He fits Bill Armstrong's (GM) desires for the middle 6 future to a T.

Nick Bjugstad could be had for a B-prospect (Abruzzese) or a 23 3rd

If there is a stomach in Toronto for a high risk/reward gamble, Nathan Smith could be had for an A- prospect (Niemela) or a 2nd

Something to think about. Would probably go for bjugstad. Would rather go for the guy with nhl experience than a prospect.
