I genuinely don’t get this. Why would you trade active roster players from a team that is red hot, with key pieces yet to return from injury & available cap space? If you want to target Gurianov (not sure he would be available) then offer is picks and prospects, not active roster pieces. We should be looking to add a significant piece to top 9, but not by shipping out a significant piece. Assuming you don’t like engvall or Kerfoot but they are on expiring deals and unquestionably they are very effective defensively right now

I’d swap him for Kerfoot. Think that could be good for both sides TBH. Don’t dislike Engvall, but feel like Dallas would prefer the more offensive player

Depends on ho much patience Dallas has left. Guri had some good shifts but also looked horrible on that Matthews goal. If Guri doesn’t start finishing there isn’t any good to make up for the bad defensive coverage. Engvall isn’t sexy, but at least he seems like a net positive or even. Swap Guri for Engvall and then go look for a defenseman. Stars are a better team and maybe Guri wakes up with a fresh start
