Description
Trading Pominville for Beleskey who probably would sit every night does not sound like a good idea, I know. But the reality is this team is not getting any younger and if that 1.8M and 4M saved in dumping Scandella and Pominville is able to bring in 2 Stanley Cup champs which the Wild have reportedly talked to in this UFA window, a solid 3rd pair defenseman which this team has lacked and a backup who can stop pucks (doesn't necessarily have to be Kinkaid) then it has to be done.

Kunitz isn't leaving PIT any time soon.

All non-MIN fans of Western conference teams hope and pray that MIN would sign Dan Girardi. Would not advise adding him to any roster in the NHL at this point.

You're trading Pommer's $5.6m in cap for $6.8m in Kunitz and Beleskey. I like Kunitz game, but would rather keep Pommer for the $1.2m less.

I'd rather just sign Folin for $1.5m than Girardi for the same price. Hell I'd rather play Prosser at league min over Girardi.

I'd rather have a different prospect than Bracco for Tor. The Wild just drafted small players and have other small players already in the AHL.

The Pommer for Beleskey trade was expansion draft related to protect Staal, it's dead now.

Girardi was probably contacted by Minny, along with every other UFA RHD on the market. Same goes for any potential backup goalie, contact them all and see if anything shakes out.

Cullen speculation has been around for a couple of seasons.

The Cullen+Kunitz package deal is new, but maybe for a combined $2m to fill out the 4th line, not a combined $4.2m
