Kane 2023 TDL and Beyond

I don't advocate moving 1st round picks (esp in a supposedly deep draft) for a player that will be around for 1 playoff run...but this is a scenario that I guess I could live with involving a Kane trade.

Keep in mind, I don't see this as too realistic:
1. If there is another team (or teams) Kane would waive to- there's probably a better off out there.
2. Sign and trade itself is extremely unlikely
3. The Goodrow inclusion is necessary to both provide value to the trade as well as clear CAP which can be used in extending Kane...I just don't think NYR front office will be looking to move him- I believe they see him as too valuable to this team to move.
4. Additional "moving parts" to consider: the most important consideration for NYR going forward is extending LaF, Chytil, and Miller. So their negotiations with these guys would need to be close enough to enable quick completion. $ committed to Kane could definitely bring up the possibility of an offer sheet to any one of this trio- for which the compensation (for a deal just above what I have outlined for these 3) would itself be a disaster.
