Just friendly advise when you make a trade there is a '+' beside a players name after they have been inserted into the trade if you click this you can add the retained salary there.

While Hanzal is bigger and may provide more offense than Bonino, that's not what the Penguins are missing. We would miss Bonino's shot blocking two-way play.

I would not trade that much for Kane (He's UFA in one year). Plus I don't see the value in the trade offs.

It's not the worst I've seen but it's also not ideal.

Bonino sure is good in shot blocking, but I think that Boyle is better and will ultimately take his duty here.
My idea of trade was to become stronger but to play the same game. In my mind McCabe is better than Maataa overall. He's faster, he hits harder. By the way he's cheaper and that's long-term. He fits Sullivan's hockey better.
Kane's hockey fits coach's hockey and I think he would push hard the final year, he could have found a new level in his game. And that's a massive upgrade over Sheary's performance in play-offs.
Yes he is in his last year but that gives flexibility. Pens will have 10M of cap space with Kane, Hornqvist, Cole turning UFA in '18 and Aston-Reese, Sprong, Pouliot (you wanna keep him?) can show up.

I'm largely in agreement with Blacklion821 and I would be concerned about Kane becoming a locker room cancer. Bonino is twice the shot blocker of Hanzel and Boyle combined, so he would be a huge loss in that department, but both of them are better faceoff guys than both Bonino and Cullen so that would be a nice upgrade. I agree that Bonino will probably get way too much money, so Hanzel would be a nice replacement, though he may get more than the $4M you are giving him here.

All in all, this is well done and obviously well thought out. Good job!

Thanks for criticising and the support. Well yeah you never know who you have on the 3rd line. But I would prefer to have a 2C on a 3rd rather than a 3C who played on the 2nd for 5M for the other team. Think that suites everyone besides the other team. Seriously will be checking stats and searching for a shot-blocker instead of Kane.
