Armstrong signed Crouse for a reason and he's the only player who's gotten a long term deal from Bill Armstrong.
Everyone else has been acquired via draft, waivers ,trade or on 1-2 year deals unless they were on an ELC
Amstrong gave the back to back 20 goal scorer (19 and counting this year ,close enough) a 5 year deal worth 4.3m

Why? I dont know.
But i can certainly assume that he's not going to take a low ball offer for him
Not when they took a Capdump and paid a high end 2nd and 3rd round pick to get him then spent 7 seasons establishing him
For what ? Two picks that are late in the round ? ARZ actually loses out on their investment in your deal

I just dont see why they'd do it .
Far as im concerned he was signed for the same reason Foligno was in MIN
He'll be there to protect Cooley like Foligno does Kaprizov
