Description
Absolute insanity that Nylander is not playing tonight. Not that it would drastically change our season, but it's indicative of a bigger problem. The best players should play period. If there's no competition in the locker room and the vet's spots aren't in danger regardless of how they play then what's the point? Everyone will be complacent. To me it's time for a fresh start with coaching and GM... Below is the lineup we should be icing

Agreed, the only thing I will say is that Puustinen should play higher in the lineup. He isn't a 4th line grinder. More of a skilled guy so probably swap him and DOC and you got a good lineup. Puusty has a great shot; pair that with Granlund's passing and that could work really well. But it's just wishful thinking because you and I both know they won't play them. Nylander probably gets sent down in a couple days when Poehling comes back.

Agree. I also think Puustinen could do well on 1st or 2nd line with his speed. Nylander is a great finisher so I think he'd be good with Granlund too. So much more flexibility with those two in the lineup. With this current lineup I give us 0 chance of getting out of the first round. Add Nylander and Puustinen and chances still aren't great, but still way better than 0. And you never know how it would spark the rest of the lineup. Man Sully and Hextall have been a disaster though.

I don't think I've ever seen a team mismanage cap room as bad as this one

It really is something, complete incompetence from the GM in every aspect of the job
