I see quite a few Bruins fans who do mocks and include the overage. Most people wouldn't even know about the overage if Bruins fans didn't bring it up earlier this year.

In this hypothetical scenario that won't happen, Merkulov is a better C than Poitras, most scouting reports project Poitras to be a wing. Also I think Harrison is closer to being NHL ready, although probably 1 year+ out, just based on build/age/experience.

You're also $1mil+ light on Swayman contract and as stated above, ~$4.65mil over the cap. Forbort, Grz, Hall, maybe even Coyle will be on the chopping block.
