Here’s the problem: guys that play 22min a night just aren’t available. Borgen has crushed the minutes he has played and should be playing more.

Could you imagine if Sabres left Asplund or Bjork unprotected for Seattle to take and froze Borgen in their expansion Draft. Back then Borgen wasn’t in our plans but he would look great now in the Blue and Gold playing 2nd pair with Power.

We have guys on the team that crush sheltered limited minutes already.

Guys will be available that cost more. Just gotta be willing to pay it

We'd have to leave both exposed and one of eichel, reinhart, tage, olofsson, mittelstadt to go 4 and 4.

Thank God we didn't leave risto exposed due to the return he got.
