Given Montreal's lack of a true #1C, it makes sense to load up on the wings to give them a deep forward corps. Signing Jagr gives Montreal incredible wing depth, and allows them to roll 4 solid lines capable of scoring.

Line 1: Pacioretty-Danault-Gallagher gives them a really good two-way line that can score.

Line 2: Drouin-Galchenyuk-Lehkonen gives them an offensively gifted second line, and while Drouin and Galchenyuk aren't the best in the defensive zone, Lehkonen is and can help them out, and this gives them a great offensive exploitation line.

Lines 3 & 4: Byron-Plekanec-Jagr and Hudon-Shaw-Hemsky, another 2 solid lines that aren't bad defensively and can score.

On defense they're a little weaker, as ideally Markov isn't playing top line minutes again all year, although maybe Alzner can take some shifts with Weber to lower Markov's playing time. Otherwise, this is a solid Top 4 defensive group and 2 of Schlemko/Jerebek/Benn gives Montreal a solid 3rd pairing.

Overall, while Montreal lacks that game changing forward, this team is deep and with Carey Price in net, this gives Montreal a solid Stanley Cup contender.
