Description
I had this idea where Laurent might make more sense than younger options in net because he won't be blocking Blomqvist process in a year or 2. Played great for Vegas in the Playoffs before he got hurt, and running back DeSmith as backup might not be the worst idea looking at advanced analytics, especially if we bring in a true shut down d man like Graves, plus we have cap to make trades if something doesn't go as planned

I'd rather have Hill or Korpisalo for the same price

Korpisalo maybe, I have no problem with Hill at that price but he's gonna want a long term deal at his age and I don't want to block Blomqvists development. Coming out FS Ligga he's not gonna be able to spend long in the A, he's played in a more talented league, he just needs a year or two there to get used to the North American game. Once he's used the NA game leaving him there will just cause him to build bad habits like over player pucks

He would always be expendable. He'll likely come over as backup when desmith's contract is up

I don't think that would be good either, he needs ice time. Its not often you see future premium starters spend multiple season as backups. Maybe we could trade Hill at that point though. I do like Hill alot
