I would expect you need to name a coach and he needs to inspire some confidence in Laf before he signs.

Is there a reasonable deal you could see with Montreal for Laf?

I think Laffy is happy with his teammates at least. And the fact they changed coach I think is enough encouragement. With that said if things change I'm sure Drury will ask for MTL first and like a cheaper depth player, at least. Because they can buyout Goodrow and not worrying about dead cap until Panarin is off the table they are in a better negotiating spot than one might think. Also saying this I do not know Drury priorities this off-season. But one would think to resign K'Andre Miller and Laffy is on top of that list anyway.

My guess would be #5OA + Jake Evans
or
FLA 1st + Jake Evans + Owen Beck

I know MTL fans don't like hearing this but...Both of these are lofty asks...but if Drury is coming from a position of not being forced and not really looking to move LaF then this is probably the way he is thinking. If his negotiating with LaF isnt going well or deep down he has doubts in LaF then he should look to move him- and naturally come down from his "unrealistic" asks as needed.
