We aren't getting that big a package for Saros. Remove one of the firsts.

The lines are less than Ideal, do;

Forsberg - Glass - Tomasino
Duchene - Novak - Evangelista
Sherwood - Parssinen - Ryjo
Trenin - Sissons - Smith

Josi - Fabbro
McD - Barrie
Lauzon - Carrier
Foote/Livingstone as 7D

Carrier will get more than 800k, and Livingstone is making too much.
I'd rather not qualify Asplund and let him walk. Buffalo fans were right about him, he sucks.

That trade guarantees that Nashville will be a bottom 10 team.

Thanks for the good feedback. I’m actually a Sabres fan so the payment was hopefully an overpayment. I’d be willing to give up the above, but idk if management would. You’re probably correct though about the value being unrealistic. I’d even be willing to pull out the 2024 1st and add Jokhiharju to the deal if he helps?

I’d rather not deal any rostered forwards as I feel we’re on the verge of having a very strong group with great depth.

Regarding the lines, again, I’m not a Nashville fan, so I appreciate you enlightening me as to how their lineup would work in this scenario.
villenash and Ennis liked this.

Probably, but that’s kind of the point. Nashville would have 7 1st round picks and 6 second round picks in the next three years. You draft well in those next three drafts, make some smart trades for some young players, and Nashville will be looking very strong in 2/3 yrs.

Also don’t forget to take notice how much cap space the predators have here. And Nashville is a place that can attract UFA’s

Hey no worries. I don't know, Saros to Buffalo is tricky. Levi isn't that far away from being ready, but a good mentor in Saros would be great for him.
I think the 2024 first and Ostlund/Savoie would be a package I'd take.

Although, I think Trotz wants to have a quick turnaround. So Saros might just stay. Lankinen is more likely to be dealt to a team that needs a goalie,
