Yeah something out of left field is gonna have to happen. Maybe the hope is that whoever we get at 8 can make the jump right away to the NHL, but outside of the consensus top 3 centers and Michkov, I don’t know that anyone else could jump in right away. Michkov could drop to 8 but he obviously still has the KHL contract. Head scratching reports.

I'm hoping we stay at 8 and pick whoever is there, Dvorsky Moore Reinbacher or Leonard. No one wants the players we don't want, and just adding Lapierre with the 8th isn't enough to move up. Maybe we'll have to add some of the extra 2025 picks with our 2023 first and Lappy. But who knows if that is enough for Arizona or Montreal to move down. I'd want Smith if we move up though.

I think it would be like 8OA Lappy/another 2nd and 40OA. If we move up (outside of top 4) i would be shocked if it’s not for Michkov.

Sadly i think there’s no shot he’s there at 8.

I want to keep the 40 overall because of how deep this draft is. Two 2025 picks should be enough value for a team like Arizona and Montreal who should suck for a while

Good point. I think Philly is the team we should really worry about. Hoping to move up to 6th
